Custom Island hop
Begin your ride from the village of Salvador do Mundo, winding through quiet backroads before boarding a short ferry to Chorao, Goa’s largest river island. The ride starts with a stop for a traditional Goan vegetarian breakfast at a local café.
Pedal onward through tranquil villages and into the wetlands of Tik Kazaan, an important bird habitat. Regular sightings include kingfishers , woolly-necked storks, lesser adjutant storks, Indian rollers, bee-eaters, and grey-headed swamphens, whistling ducks..
The route continues through a spice plantation, leading to a 17th-century Shiv temple,from the kadamba dynasty recently restored by the Archaeological Survey of India. The temple houses a 12th-century deity placed within a natural cave shrine (garbha-griha).
After a short refreshment break, return by bike to the starting point.
